I don’t have anything really insightful to say. Just, when I see all the pain and suffering in the world and I contemplate the trials I have to come, it makes me really hate Satan.

Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44). He masquerades as an angel of light (2 Cor 11:4), putting a glitzy image or spin on fornication, violence, drug use, lies, false religion, and every sort of evil. His demons are responsible for disease and mental illness, if not arguably all such illnesses, all the time. He whispers perverse ideas into the minds of men, manipulating the depraved into acting upon their worst desires.

This just reminds me of the blackness in our own hearts, which if it were not there Satan would be powerless. Apart from God’s grace, we are totally powerless to resist the wiles of demonic realm.

God WILL defeat Satan, his destruction is assured, thank the Lord!

Father, I know I am at your mercy, and I pray that you incline my heart to worship you and you increasing transform me into the image of your Son. Keep us from temptation and deliver us from the evil one.
