He will also come and strike the land of Egypt; those who are meant for death will be given over to death, and those for captivity to captivity, and those for the sword to the sword. (Jer 43:11)
It is very humbling to think that all of our lives are meant for something. This includes all the events of our lives, our thoughts, even our ends.
The Lord of hosts is His name; great in counsel and mighty in deed, whose eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of men… (Jer 32:19)
There is nothing He does not see and there is nothing He does not control.
In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will… (Eph 1:11)
All things have been predetermined.
Yet, it is so simple. The destiny you want is also the destiny He wants for you. Do you believe Christ is the Son of God and desire to be with Him for all of eternity? Then you were not meant to be given over to death, but rather to everlasting life. Do you desire riches, acceptance, success, and the things that our present life and world have to offer? Then you will surely have at least some of your desires and no more.
What is your fate? God has decided it for you. If you wonder just exactly what God has decided, look no further than your own desires.
