Many Catholic and Protestant laymen posit the doctrine of invincible ignorance, which in short essentially means that righteous pagans are not held accountable for not knowing Jesus Christ. Is this doctrine Biblical? Has the Church always held it? In this video, I comment on how clear reason, the Biblical witness, and the historical witness of the Church do not appear to allow us to believe in such a backdoor works-salvation scheme.
