In this series we will be giving 25 reasons why the Jehovah’s Witnesses have their Christology and Trinitarian theology wrong. We will make our case right from the Scriptures:

  1. God gives the “living water.”

Isn’t it Christ who gives us “the water of life?”  Jesus Christ says in John 4:13: “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”

Now, here’s the zinger in John 4. Earlier the Gospel of John reports: “Jesus answered and said to her, ‘If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.’” (John 4:10). God is the one who gives the gift of the water in verse 10. Jesus then says “I” give the water in verse 13. Clearly, Christ is the one and only God referred to in verse 10!
