In this series we will be giving 25 reasons why the Jehovah’s Witnesses have their Christology and Trinitarian theology wrong. We will make our case right from the Scriptures:
- Rev 19:16 calls Jesus Christ the “Lord of Lords” and “King of Kings.”
And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS” (Rev 19:16).
The only other passage in Scripture that contains the same titles clearly shows that this is a title for God:
He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen (1 Tim 6:15-16).
Likewise, Deut 10:17 contains similar titles and states, “For Jehovah your God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords.”
JW’s: putting the “Arian” in “sectarian” since 1931.
